Flutopia 2006: Native American Making Flute Camp |

We have just completed the Flutopia 2006! This year we were lucky enough to have back with us Paula Dodd & Jack Rich as co-deans with special guests, Native American Flute Maker/Teacher Vance Pennington.
We actually created our own flutes this year! At first we were a little worried, but Vance soon put us at ease and we started our flutes. Vance's capable leadership, skills and stories during the creation process made it a joy for us. At camp's conclusion we will had shaped, tuned, and finished our very own flutes!
We had time to explore the beach and play our flutes to the rhythm of the waves. Fantastic!.We had a 'Pandora' PX4, drums, rainstix, and autoharp to accompany our playing. Four days of Native American Flute fun and information seemed to fly by and before we knew it, it was time to leave.
