The Black Walnut represents the fertile land upon which the great Buffalo ran free so many years ago while the Spirit of the Tatanka (Buffalo Totem Block) watches as the time of change looms heavily in the future. The white ash represents the people who came to the land of both the Lakota and other great nations and who made their homes alongside those who already had their homes here. The red Bloodwood banding honors those who fought and died to keep what they thought was theirs in this ever changing world.  Like the Ash and Bloodwood banding, lets all strive to live in peace and harmony!This is a very special flute to me, not only because of the way its' design came to me but for the purposeful meanings behind its creation. These flutes will be created in the key of F#, which history indicates to have been the more traditional key, and in the key of G (your choice). Expecting no less from future creations, the original flute has a wonderful, vibrant tone and is responsive to the player's every desire which is limited only by the player's imagination, be they beginner or of professional standing. This is a flute that will want to be played and one which a new owner will be proud to display.
