Waking Kokopelli's Spirit Flute

![]() |
'Waking Kokopelli's Spirit' Flute (with inlaid Real Sterling Silver Banding) This Hard Maple (locally grown) F# Pentatonic flute is quickly becoming known as my 'Flagship' flute! The theme is to honor the infamous figure of Kokopelli which I have incorporated into the block in the Navajo style of wood carving. The main body of Kokopelli is created from Cardinal wood with his headdress of Hard Maple and Walnut. The decorative real silver discs have been inlaid into the wood. The little flute being played by Kokopelli is created from Hard Maple, in keeping with the actual flute body, and has three drilled playing holes. The end of the flute has also been drilled to make it look more authentic. Kokopelli's flute has also been enhanced with dark brown cord banding and small, glass seed beads of pink and turquoise. The miniature flute block was created from Walnut. The flute body is enhanced with real, solid silver banding, again in the Navajo style, which are welded into rings before insertion into the flute body. The rings constitute approximately 40 grams of real silver and which fit flush to the surface of the Hard Maple. Although the flute shown below is not for sale I will be more than happy to fulfill any special or custom orders either in the same design or in your own wood selection and design.
